If possible use hosts on either side of the link to perform the testing.
You could also try iperf.

Be aware that using ttcp in IOS may hit the switch CPU badly depending
on how much data you're trying to pump - if you're doing it this way,
make sure it's in a low-risk period. IOS ttcp is also unable to generate
UDP traffic.
