 	Also, make sure you upgrade the power supplies BEFORE the fan tray, 
or you will get a very nasty surprise 5 minutes later...

 	Regarding CatOS->IOS, the best answer is (like so many things) "by 
hand".  Cisco once made a tool for automating the conversion when unified 
IOS was first released, but given the various options and versions 
available, this is something you're going to want to test in advance on a 
lab chassis and make sure you're familiar with the new platform before 
performing a live migration on production equipment.
