We've performed the upgrade from Sup1A/MSFC2 to Sup720-3BXL as well and
needed to upgrade Power Supplies as well as high speed fan assy's.

The configurations were relatively straight forward but it did require a
staged approach due to the fact that were running a hybrid mode, ie
CATOS/IOS, and went to the SXF release (IOS).. The upgrade was not
difficult but it did require me the have the configuration generated and
tested prior to deployment..

Regards,
Don L

Hi All,

We are planning on upgrading our WS-X6K-SUP1A-2GE to SUP720 on our
6509's and I just wondered if there is any tips/advice anyone one can
give on how to go about this

i.e. power upgrades, fan upgrades or how to go about changing the config
from catOS to IOS.

Cheers
