FreeRADIUS 1.1.6  (1.1.7 this week hopefully).  RADIATOR is another
fine tool too. 

both will need configuring and no Windows OS has a working 802.1x
config 'out of the box' - yo either have to prime the OS with an EAP-TLS
cert or configure PEAP (and by default windows will use the windows
login username/password which might not be what you want.
OSX and Linux play this game fine - once configured! ;-)
