Unless you're sure you're not going to ever put full routes on it, I 
recommend maxing out the RAM on both the MSFC and Sup2 to 512mb each.

On a 6509/sup2 with full routes and 512/512, I have only 268240496 free 
on the sup2.  It seems to me, if I had only 256mb RAM on there, I'd be in 
trouble (or maybe it'd have carved off a smaller chunk for I/O and I'd be 
ok).  Just max it out and know that you'll never have to upgrade the RAM 
again.
