David,

Take a look at some of the docs here:

Subject: [c-nsp] L2 or L3 to access ? That is the question... [NC]

Hello.

We plan to re-deisgn our Lan. The main question is should we now use
Layer
3 at the access ?
I would like to know if anyone has experience with implementing a layer
3 layer all the way up to the access layer in a campus environment . We
will be using OSPF in our scenario .
Our network is based on a MAN network (30 devices ) + 3 other buildings
.I have already been through some Cisco Documentations on the SRND and
this is pretty well documented but if anyone has already implemented
such design , can he share his experience ?

Main questions will be :
- Tuning of SPF and LSA Throttle to speed up convergence
- Hello and dead interval timers tuning
- Stub or totally stubby area at the access

Thanks
David
