Hi folks,

I have a couple of 6509-Es with sup720-3b running 12.2(18)SXF7 advanced
ip services ssh IOS which do not seem to support mpls. An excerpt from
sh version:

System image file is
"sup-bootdisk:s72033-advipservicesk9_wan-vz.122-18.SXF7.bin

cisco WS-C6509-E (R7000) processor (revision 1.3) with 491520K/32768K
bytes of .

Processor board ID SMC104600GY

SR71000 CPU at 600Mhz, Implementation 1284, Rev 1.2, 512KB L2 Cache

8 Ten Gigabit Ethernet/IEEE 802.3 interfaces

1917K bytes of non-volatile configuration memory.

65536K bytes of Flash internal SIMM (Sector size 512K).

Configuration register is 0x2102

Patching is not available since the system is not running from an
installed image

6509E#conf t

Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.

6509E(config)#mpls ip

               ^

% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.

6509E(config)#m?

mac mac-address-table map-class map-list memory

menu mls modemcap module monitor

mop multilink mwam

I have bought these switches to act as the core of my Campus MPLS
backbone. Software feature navigator shows that this image should
support MPLS.

Am I missing something here?

My 6504-Es with sup32-10GE-3b have no problems with mpls.

Please help!

Kind regards

Nasir Shaikh
