Hi everybody,

due to the latest security issues we've upgraded our ios on our Cisco
Router to
Version 12.4(12) some weeks ago. From time to time i discover weird
messages
regarding IF-4-BACKWARD_COUNTERS, e.g.

Mar 17 15:52:59.841 UTC: %IF-4-BACKWARD_COUNTERS: Corrected for
backward rxtx_errors counters (5 -> 3) on GigabitEthernet0/3

Cisco only says that you should contact TAC. But what exactly is
happening here,
does anybody know if this could cause serious trouble?

C7200-IK9S-M, Version 12.4(12),
Cisco 7206VXR (NPE-G1) processor (revision B) with 491520K/32768K
bytes of memory.

Thanks,
Werner
