system mtu only affects fastE ports, adding system mtu jumbo is geared
towards gigE only ports, so the max mtu for faste is 1546 and 9000 for gigE
intf's

you can also not set the mtu per interface, you set it for all interfaces, also
note that if your gige's are accepting jumbos, any jumbo frames that come in
on the gige but try to leave on the fastE will be lost
