Are you sure this affects the NPE-G1 ?

I've never personally tested on an NPE-G2, but this NPE-G1 is fine:

thnlon-pe01#sh int gi 0/1 | i Gi|MTU|uplex
GigabitEthernet0/1 is up, line protocol is up
MTU 1546 bytes, BW 100000 Kbit, DLY 100 usec,
Full Duplex, 100Mbps, media type is RJ45

thnlon-pe01#sh ver | i NPE
Cisco 7206VXR (NPE-G1) processor (revision B) with 983040K/65536K bytes
of memory.

thnlon-pe01#sh ver | i 12.2
Cisco IOS Software, 7200 Software (C7200-ADVIPSERVICESK9-M), Version
12.2(33)SRC, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc3)

Also worked on 12.3.22 Enterprise
