[c-nsp] ASA Transparent Mode with VLAN Trunks

I am trying to configure an ASA in Transparent mode running 7.2(3) version of code. It has trunk interfaces trunking vlans 100,101 on both the inside and outside interfaces of the device. However the ASA will not let me assign VLAN 100,101 to subinterfaces on both sides of the firewall. Does anyone have a working configuration on how to accomplish this? I want to trunk 2 VLANs through a L2 firewall using the same VLAN tags on each inside/outside sides of the firewall.
TIA
Mike
