Kris,

For short term (or lower scale) solutions, you should be looking at
7201.
The 7201 is a NPE-G2 in 1RU format, like the 7301 is a 1RU format of the
NPE-G1.
The extra bonus on 7201 (except more CPU power) is a 4th GigE port
allowing easier redundant topologies...

For longer term (or large scale) solutions, I would suggest you take a
look at ASR1000.
