Hi,

Have you tried using a pseudowire-class on your xconnect?

You can configure "interworking ethernet" on it.

Subject: [c-nsp] transparent tunnel via MPLS (ala L2TPv3)

All --

 I've got a number of L2TPv3 tunnels set up around our metro area
feeding raw ethernet span data (pre-filtered) into a collection device:

/span1/ -> /7206 L2TPv3/ -> (metro net) ->
/span2/ -> /7206 L2TPv3/ -> (metro net) ->
/span3/ -> /7206 L2TPv3/ -> (metro net) ->
           /7206 L2TPv3 collector -> VLAN trunk/ -> / 3750 /

where the 3750 at the end provides the VLAN termination for each span
on a per-port (i.e., Fa1/0/1 == span1,  Fa1/0/2 = span2, etc..)

We've got some new sites that are 6524/MPLS enabled, and don't have a
7206
available for the L2TPv3 tunnel, so we're trying to provide the same
functionality via MPLS.

I can get a Xconnect session to work, but -only- if the interfaces on
each
end are "equal" -- meaning that since the collector 7206 endpoint is a
subinterface vlan, the session won't come up on the 6524 MPLS side.

Is there any way to have the xsession ignore the interface type
mismatch?
This seems to be an asinine requirement in the first place, but I can't
seem to find any ways around it after searching google. Granted,
my mpls experience is very low, so I may not be approaching this with
the right frame of reference.

 Thanks...
