I've never seen CPU-induced VRRP or HSRP problems on our 6500 and 7600s
- but then, I've never used SXD or SXE.

So: SXI sounds like a good plan.  Beware of the BGP mem leak bug if you
have neighbors set to "shutdown" (not yet integrated).  If not SXI, SXH3a
is also working *very* well for us.  Have not tested SXH4 or SXH5.
