For sure... bootloaders are one of those things I don't like to touch until
I have to...  it's been so long since I had to upgrade the bootloader on
anything we have that I'd have to read the docs again to remember how..;)

Where'd you get that idea?  Other than making sure I have boot code new 
enough to support booting the real IOS from CF, I don't generally touch 
the bootloader.

My guess would be there's something wrong with the devices the router is 
trying to boot from.
