Ugh. Sorry for that. This thread was mixing 3560 things (where
"system mtu ..." makes sense) and 1841 questions (where it doesn't).
So please ignore the comment above - it wasn't relevant as answer to
the specific question.
Not that any of this fits under the Subject: line of the thread - but the
art of "start a new thread for a new topic" or "adjust the Subject:" seems
to be a lost one.
