I would also take a look at Solarwinds Network Configuration Manager (formerly Cirrus).  Backup configs, make mass changes, check configs against a specific defined policy, inventory equipment, etc.  It may be worth mentioning that Solarwinds recently purchased Kiwi, and their plan is to integrate some of the Kiwi-specific features into NCM.
