I can confirm this:

NAME: "Converter 3/2", DESCR: "Converter Module"
PID: CVR-X2-SFP        , VID: V01  , SN: CAT111058P7

NAME: "GigabitEthernet3/11", DESCR: "1000BaseSX"
PID: Unspecified       , VID:      , SN: FNS11172H80

Don't forget to use

hw-module module X port-group Y select gigabitethernet

or you'll get some not-so-helpful errors (in older IOS versions).
