The card also has an internal tree fabric, so you may be able to design 
your networking requirements around that.  If you're not doing much traffic 
overall but need burst capacity, then the 6716 may be a good choice.  On 
the other hand, maybe using ToR 10G switches might be even a better choice 
(as in no contention and 10% of cost), if you can live with small buffers.
