I'd agree, the MX-series DPC line cards are quite deficient 
in some respects, especially when it comes to ingress 
marking/remarking. This includes even the high-end models.

This is a hardware problem fixed in the Trio line cards.

One of the differences between the MX and ASR9000 is that 
the MX960 can provide fabric redundancy while the ASR9000 
would lose you some bandwidth if one of the fabrics failed.
