Well, SR _are_ "supported" in SPA-1X10GE-L-V2 when used in CRS-1,
SCE8000 and ASR1000, just not uBR10k. Unfortunately I'm currently
lacking an "original" Cisco SR XFP to try wether it works technically.
Cisco SE claims IOS would reject the XFP.
