[c-nsp] Ethernet-to-Ethernet Solution???

Hi everybody
I have worked at ISP company. My company is going to implement
Ethernet-to-Ehternet solution with another ISP on the co-operation plan
between 2 companies. But I still don't know clearly what is
ethernet-to-ethernet solution? and How does it work? I have tried to search
the materials on the internet via google website, but i can't find out any
materials or documents  tell about this solution

Please kindly help me explain more detail how does it work?  and give me
some materials or document about this solution for my preference as well
