"Someone" doesn't understand multicast routing.

In IPv4-ASM land, you need to run MBGP and PIM and MSDP.  MBGP is somewhat
optional (it will use the unicast topology otherwise), but without PIM,
there's no way to join groups - so you'd have to do static configuration.
