[c-nsp] MAC address problem with Cat3550

Hi,

I found one problem with Catalyst3550.
It has already turned out that the cause of the problem is Bug CSCdx74914.

Vender's engineer said that

 - Only frames with destination MAC address 5xxx-xxxx-xxxx
 - Only received on 10Mb/sec interfaces
 - The FCS errors counter increments
 - Work around is 'Reconfigure the interface to operate at 100Mb/sec'

Why does this problem occur only by 10Mbps?
What is different in 100Mbps and 10Mbps? (100BASE-TX and 10BASE-T??)
Does anyone know the generating mechanism of this behavior?

I worry that the same behavior by not only 5xxx but also other numbers.
