Hi all,
I have a Core network where we started testing GPON from a supplier, all is
good, but today i noticed that suddenly a GMPLS interface appeared in my
conf., as i was configuring the box o noticed the interface just being
there, it's not (for now) doing nothing, the only thing connected to that
CISCO7604 [12.2(33)SRE2 ADVIPSERVICES] is a GPON OLT (not_cisco), connect
with 2Gb links and on a port channel.
This is the mystery interface... :)

GMPLS177 is up, line protocol is up
Hardware is GMPLS
MTU 1500 bytes, BW 9 Kbit/sec, DLY 500000 usec,
reliability 255/255, txload 1/255, rxload 1/255
Encapsulation UNKNOWN, loopback not set
Keepalive not set
Last input never, output never, output hang never
Last clearing of "show interface" counters never
Input queue: 0/75/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 0
Queueing strategy: fifo
Output queue: 0/0 (size/max)
5 minute input rate 0 bits/sec, 0 packets/sec
5 minute output rate 0 bits/sec, 0 packets/sec

So my question is why it suddenly rose from the grave since in rancid
nothing else was configured/modified on that box for a few weeks.
I understand the concept of GMPLS i can't find the reason i need that
interface (at least for now), was it something sent by the OLT?
Anyone?
