Hello Nick,

Playing with OSPF hello/dead timers is possible but not the best approach.
If you need fast dead peer detection, BFD is much better option. It uses
less CPU and allows much better detection time than OSPF timers.

It will assume that the neighbor is dead after dead-time seconds, which will
then trigger SPF.

It's quite usual these days to use a much shorter hello and dead interval
than 10/40 seconds.  I usually use hello=1 and dead=4 seconds for everything
these days.
