Well I think the deal breaker was PoE.  They don't have a high density 
modular platform with the install base of the 6500.  If they would have 
discontinued 61xx support in Sup2T, tons of customers would have 
flipped.  Oh, my migration options are 4500 or vendor x, y or z?

That would have put all the nails in the 6500 coffin.

But, I wish they would have spent the time to have the card support but 
use a real OS. :(
