This is something you would want to approach with extreme care in case you
end up getting the wrong thing and it won't work. First, the asr9k is
picky about what transceivers it will run. "service
unsupported-transceiver" isn't what it used to be.
Secondly, even if you get a transceiver with a Cisco EEPROM, and you need
FEC, you will still need to get your self the A9K-ADV-OPTIC-LIC= license.
This costs $20,000 list, and it licensed per blade.
If I were you, I would seriously consider using WDM transponders. At the
very least, your investment in 10G waves does not then depend on continued
use of ASR9k kit.
