Already checked from Cisco.
After we install the license to the line card, we cannot see any active
used information.
After we configure the L3VPN, we can see the active used information.
For the test configuration, just works in the physical interface,
sub-interface or bridge domain interface cannot active the license. Maybe
it is a bug.

Hi Folks,

In my recently project, we buy the L3VPN license for the ASR9K, today, i
try to install them to the machine, but i cannot check whether it works or
not.
The key procedure is :
copy tftp://192.168.0.229/FOX1436GR1Q_20110117042020633.lic disk0:/license
location 0/RSP0/CPU0
copy tftp://192.168.0.229/FOX1436GR1Q_20110117042020633.lic disk0:/license
location 0/RSP1/CPU0
license add disk0:/license/FOX1436GR1Q_20110117042020633.lic
license A9K-AIP-LIC-B location 0/3/CPU0
commit

Then i show the license in the admin mode as bellow:

RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:ASRPE1(admin)#show license

FeatureID: A9K-AIP-LIC-B (Slot based, Permanent)
  Total licenses 1
  Available for use 1
  Allocated to location 0
  Active 0
  Store name Permanent
  Store index 1
    Pool: Owner
      Total licenses in pool: 1
      Status: Available 1 Operational: 0

I am wondering if there should be active or not.

Note: I didn't configure anything in that line card, also if i don't
install this license, i also can configure the L3VPN.

Thanks and Regards,

Hu Xu
