[c-nsp] New to Nexus gear.... how does the licenses work?

You don't need anything really special for AAA access to work for admin 
logins:

test-n5k# sho feature | include enabled
fex                   1         enabled
http-server           1         enabled
interface-vlan        1         enabled
lldp                  1         enabled
sshServer             1         enabled
udld                  1         enabled
vpc                   1         enabled

RADIUS-authenticated logins work on this particular switch.

I'll have to check if we're doing anything special on the RADIUS side.
