Hi All,

Going back to this thread we are going to arrange to demo some
C6880-x's for edge devices. I think the ASR9k maybe a better paltform
for us but I've not used the C6880-x's hense the demo. We use the
ME3600s/ME3800s extensively at the access layer so I'm after beefed up
versions of those with all the same features;

-10G core links with 1G uplinks from access
-SFP capabale so we can mix and match layer 1 as required (Copper/SM/MM)
-Full MPLS and VPLS support
-Full EVCs support so we can xconnect from anywhere to anywhere and
support QinQ, single tags, no tags, tag swapping etc just lik the
ME3x00s
-Dual power supplies
-Full HQoS support on EVCs like the ME3x00s (since this is 6500 on
drugs does it only support layer 2 QoS?)

-Dual sups is not a requirement just a nice to have (looks like this
isn't possible)
-Full DFZ table is not a requirement but would be a nice to have
(looks like this is possible since its Sup2T)

Since this thread started have more people had a chance to play with
these boxes? What are you all using them for, how do you find them
(stability, features, what lines cards do you like/don't like) ?

Look at cisco.com it looks like systems not carrying a full table
would be ok with C6880-X-LE using C6880-X-LE-16P10G cards, for edge
routers with transit we can use C6880-Xs with C6880-X-16P10G cards.
Input welcomed.

Cheers,
James.
