In this particular case, to be honest, I feel the old way is
better because there are fewer configuration lines to
have/host.
You are defining the BD anyway, and the BD consumes a global
VLAN (unlike the EVC) anyway. So unless there are some
specific BD features that you want (which are only
available/possible under the "bridge-domain" configuration
heirarchy), I'd forego the extra typing.
