GGSN and SGSN are GPRS/GSM/3GPP terms. Are you asking about *wireless* protocols and architectures, specifically?

Wireline ISP network utilize pure IP and MPLS, primarily.  On the wireline broadband edge, they use *DSL and DOCSIS.
