Cheers Mark - reboot, Id need to schedule an outage window, but will if needed.... I did some further checking, and noticed the following...why would it be reporting "label drop"?

This is from the problem ME3600 -> Problem PE (Problem PE's CUSTA IP is 10.2.4.1)...the 88.88.x.x are just test addresses

#sh ip cef vrf CUSTA exact-route 88.88.89.1 10.2.4.1
88.88.89.1 -> 10.2.4.1 => label 1459 drop

..and this is from the "working" ME3600 -> problem PE (ping etc works):

#sh ip cef vrf CUSTA exact-route 88.88.88.1 10.2.4.1
88.88.88.1 -> 10.2.4.1 => label 1459 label 40420 TAG adj out of GigabitEthernet0/1, addr xxx.xx.xxx.xxx

Cheers
