I'm not sure of the exact differences - but think the 44x1's put the policy into asics, wheres the 43x1's are much more of a software router - which is why there is a huge price difference.

This could explain the differences between them.

What I recall from my setup is that I was able to configure a service policy within the sub-interface but I saw no matching packets.
