The NetIron CES/CER 2000 boxes were certainly worthy competitors back in
2009 - 2011. But I felt like they stopped getting developed after that,
and while I considered them for FTTH services several years ago, I don't
get the impression Brocade/Extreme have developed the box for the
demands of 2019.

Of course, I could be totally wrong and someone is having very good
success with it.
