[cisco-voip] Software for 7940?

Hello,
 
how can I check that the software that is on my 7940 phone is a good one? It
seems to be pretty buggy; and I don't 

*	where I can find which software it runs (i.e. what should I be
looking at between "App Load ID", "Boot Load ID" and "Version")
*	what is the current best version that I could be running (don't want
any new features, just bug fixes)
