I've used the 16 port modem cards before with great success in either
direction. Only problem is all the analog lines needed for the modems.

Subject: [cisco-voip] Modem's

I need some real world help.

I currently have a hunk of junk server running a modem card plugged into
ata's. I know, I know. Stay await from ATA's.

I'm going to do, just that. I'm ordering 4 pots lines and putting them
in a hunt group, but so the end users don't have to change the number
they are dialing, can I just put a translation rule in that says dial
9.1235551212. My concern is that the dialed number now comes into my
VGW and goes back out before it gets to the pots lines. Will this be an
issue, where I really do need to change the number the end users dial.

TIA!!!!

Scott

PS. We are also buying new server and modem card. Unless someone
thinks the modem module for a 2600 is a good option.
