[cisco-voip] BAT - Owner ID

From the help pages the owner user-id looks to be a way to specify the
user to associate calls from that phone to in CDR reports. Normally
CAR will pull device association info from the directory to set this up
but if the device is associated to more than one user this may cause
issues.

Interesting..

You are correct. I thought that Owner ID and User ID were one in the
same. I was looking for device association for the use of the web
dialer... It did associate the user id with device correctly...

So Owner ID is used for what then? And can't be used with EM - which we
will start using in the future...

Tks..

You don't have to configure owner-id (this is the field in the phone
page correct?) and if you are planning to use Extension Mobility then
you cannot configure this because EM doesn't support this field.

The User ID field in the CSV file I thought was for device association.
Is that getting set correctly when you import the phone?

When inserting phones, I specify the User ID in the CSV file format
section... I assume (bad assumption?) that this is the same as the
Owner ID. However, after inserting, I don't get any errors, but the
phone's owner ID is blank, and I have to manually add it in. Which
works, just time consuming.

We are integrated with AD.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.
