[cisco-voip] Changing Caller ID based on Called Number

Bit of a complicated problem here, but I think there is a solution.

What I'm trying to do is connect a fax server to our VoIP network. We
used to have 8 FXS ports, but have been reduced to 4 because of an
upgrade from an ICS to an MCS.

We have 8 fax lines on a server. Right now, when a number is dialed, it
passes through a hairpin Hunt Pilot to the FXS ports which are
configured with MGCP. The fax server picks them up based on which line
they came in and emails the correct people.

The problem is two-fold. We are losing 4 FXS ports, but we're also
having issues where one fax line is getting two calls while others are
getting none.

What I would like to do is take the 4 FXS ports and put them all into
the same server so that all 8 fax lines will ring to the 4 fax ports.
The problem is that the server software will only send the emails out
correctly if the TSI or the CallerID is configured correctly. The TSI
is not an option, so that leaves the CallerID.

My idea is this. As the call comes in, I can do whatever I need to to
change the CallerID number from whatever it is, to a very specific
number that will be picked up by the fax server. Then, I take all 8 fax
lines and put them into a hunt group that will send them over to the fax
server in a group of 4.

The problem I'm having is with the caller id. Does anyone know of a way
to change the caller ID number to either the called number or any other
specific number.

Thanks
