We are setting up out first CM 4.0 and have successfully connected it to our Avaya PBX. Since this is our first setup and we're just in the testing phase we are routing all calls to and from the CM through our existing PBX trunks. The CM is connected to the PBX through a PRI and we can receive calls and place calls to the PBX extensions but have not been able to make outbound calls. When setting up the CM we used the external route plan wizard which asked for a digit for outside calls, we assumed this would work similar to the PBX feature access codes and prompt the CM to analysis the digits for external routing but we receive a waive off tone. As a work around we created a route pattern for the digit 9 which then gives dial tone from the PBX, we're sure there is a more effective way to do this but can't figure it out, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
