We ran into this problem.  The problem was that parts of the CMM did 
routing (even though they shouldn't) and parts of the CMM did not.  So 
because of this you ended up having an odd situation where you had to 
specify both a default gateway, and a default route.  Without the default 
gateway you couldn't access the CMM at all, but without the default route 
you had one way audio.

They probably have updated the software since then, so I'd suggest 
upgrading and if that doesn't fix it, try the above.
