Interesting thing is that it followed the port not the phone for us.

You got my hopes up briefly, but our failing phone's s/n is outside the 
range of those in the FN.  TAC asked for a bunch of debugging
information 
from the switch, but I expect an RMA phone replacement is in the wings.
