  Wes also mentioned this:
When you check the 'Voicemail' box for CFB/CFNA, we attempt to use the CSS of the Voicemail Pilot by default. If that is blank then we revert to using the CSS of the originating device.

    Hi,

    Here is my setting detail:
    Phone A: Partition = "internal", CSS = "Site1-all", CFB/CFNA to VM.
VM ports: Partition = "internal", CSS = "Site1-all".
    VM Pilot: CSS = "none"

    Analysis:
    - I can access VM via message button
    - call from phone B to A can be diverted to VM when is not answered.
    - Unity can dialout to internal and external number.

in summary I don;t see the funtionality of CSS in VM Pilot Conifguration page. I thought setting "none" CSS would restrict it from dialing a configured partition(s). I use CM 3.3(5)sr1. Anyone can enlighten me? thanks

    regards,
    Robin

I won't take credit for this one because Wes straightened it out when I was having a problem. I hope he'll correct me if I've got it wrong.

The VM Pilot CCS is used when you check the VM box on the line configuration page. If you put anything in the destination field, then it uses the CSS you've selected.

You'll have to check to see what gets checked if you push FwdAll and then the messages button and/or your vm pilot number.

Hi, Can anyone explain to me the function of CSS on VM Pilot configuration page? I set my VM ports and internal phones in a unique partition and CSS. So far has no problem accessing VM. Thanks

        regards,
        Robin
