I think you are better off with the VG224's. They are IOS based and are
basically like configuring a router. Unless the 248's have changed (I
haven't looked) they are not IOS based and I remember they were a little
more troublesome. Maybe someone else out there can confirm this and you
will feel better about going this route.

Hey Carlos good to hear from you. We're getting some VG224's in to use
for a few dormitories at a regional campus, hopefully they will work
out OK. I would have rather gone with some 248's and had fewer boxes
to manage, but the 'customer' wants dual connections to all boxes
where possible.
