[cisco-voip] 6608 T1 Blades (to config or not to config)

Of the clients I've worked on, it is a mix. Some of
all configured and some just have the ones there using
configured.

I have one customer with funky TFTP problems on their
6500 though, and the 6608 won't download new firmware
to it unless we put the 6608 in another 6500
tempoarily.

The TFTP issue is only between devices directly
attached to the 6500. The call manager is directly
attached to 6500. Any phones directly plugged into the
6500 also can't get new phoneloads. Any phone/device
that is off another switch and not plugged into the
6500 works fine and can get new phoneload via TFTP.

I was able to find a workaround and get the phones to
take a new load by configuring the ports to be in the
voice VLAN natively and setting auxillaryvlan to none.
The auxillaryvlan was the key. It wouldn't work if it
was set to a vlan, had to be none. They are on older
CatOS (8.1.2) and I've been looking for bugs, etc but
so far haven't come up with any.

So if anyone has any ideas on this TFTP problem I'm
all ears. According to the software advisor, there is
like 1 Native IOS version that has 6608 support I
believe. 12.2SXB or something like that. They are also
doing IPX so. I'm thinking a update will fix this
problem but I got to find some bug id to give them to
convince them.
