[cisco-voip] ATA Adaptors

Hi Dawn, In the UK in my experience some analogue phones / devices will
have to connect via a PBX Master connector to get them to work correctly
(did this at a customers site the other day - they were just plugging
directly into an ATA - we put in a PBX Master connector first and it was
OK)

Go to the below link and do a search for PBX Master for
description...BTW you can buy these from some telephone and some
electrical shops

Hi Chris,

I haven't managed to try a standard phone as I didn't have the correct
leads to connect it to the minicom (the connection on our old phones
don't connect to the port on the adaptor). I'll see if I can find a
lead / convertor to try this.

I don't think the ATA's connect via PBX Master Unit - not quite sure
what this is!

Thanks

Dawn

	Hi Dawn,

Are you connecting to the ATA's via PBX Master units ?

If you plug a standard analog phone into the ATA's are they
working OK ?

	Hello,

I have purchased 3 x ATA 186 adaptors to use with minicoms. The
ata adaptors have been picked up by the Cisco Call Manager (V3.3), but
they don't seem to be communicating with the minicoms. I believe I may
need to change some of the settings for the adaptors to be compatible
with the minicoms as they are configured to work with standard phones by
default(?). Does anyone know which settings have to be changed for the
adaptors to work with minicoms?

	Many Thanks in advance.

	Dawn Martin
