I just noticed that the 7970 doesn't seem to recognize the E (equation) 
input flag for <CiscoIPPhoneInput>.

For example, if you used the Calculator on a 7960, you can't use it on the 
7970.  The 7970 seems to interpret the E as T (telephone), so that when you 
press * or #, you get only * or # and not the range of characters you get 
for E flag.

This is in CM 3.3.x, app firmware 6.0.3sr1.  Is there a fix?
