Hi all,
We use all 7912/7940 phones with power adapters. Now we got a 7936
conference station and I noticed that this station has a special power
adapter.
On the power adapter you connect the power and the network connection,
and from the power adapter to the station there is only a network cable.
Now I suppose that this adapter puts power over Ethernet on the network
connection so the conference station has network connection and power
via the Ethernet cable.
Now my question: Can this power adapter also be used with a 7912/7940
phone?
Obviously the reason why is that we don't have to put ll poe switches on
locations where we only need one phone working if there is a power
failure. Put this power adapter in the computer room on the ups and it
should do the trick.
Anyone already tried this ?
