It's funny becuase I have installed CRA/CRS and went through a vendor
install of IPCC. Even though I have been able to get things like TAPS
to work using CRA some of it was a little unclear. Your small
explanantion below has really clarified some things for me.

Thanks!

Carlos

For a CTI Port to register an external application will need to be
configured to use it and that application will then register to the
port. Softphone and CRA/CRS/IPCC are examples of applications that will
use CTI Ports. The application will log into CCM with a defined user ID
in the Global Directory. This user ID needs to have the CTI associated
so that the application can log in and register the device. If it is not
associated then the application will not be able to register it.

Do CTI ports require any specific resource from the Call Mgr
server? I created one the other day and could not get it to register.
Today I came in and saw that it is registered, but now another CTI port
that was registered is not anymore.

	Thanks,
